2007 electric ezgo motor smoking

that thing could use new brushes for sure, new ones stick out much further. all that black dust is what used to be your brushes. cant see the commutator (where brushes touch armature) all that well, but it looks grey-ish, and thats a sign of heat problems. the comm should still look copper colored, even after many years of use.

Get the commutator cleaned up and replace the brushes. Clean everything up and reassemble. Should run better.

Take it to a motor shop unless you really know what you are doing.
