put cart in forward
put neg lead on black wire on controller

Been running through the troubleshooting checklist. Seems to indicate that the controller might be bad. Don't know about the motor. Can I test the motor without replacing the controller?

jumper cables may be used
black clip on battery negative,
red clip on motor A1 post, tap the other ends together
note : use 2 wrenches on motor studs to keep them from spinning

Okay. Solved my problem. Finally got the cart off the ground and on stands to access the motor and discovered that I had a bad cable. Actually a relief. Thanks to CT Dummy and ClemsonGuy for your help and a shout out to BGW for creating such a great resource.

But one more question. The reason I didn't spot the bad cable earlier was because it was hidden from view. When I got under the cart what I discovered is that there's a solenoid wired between two of the motor posts and just kinda hanging loose under the motor. (One of the cables off the solenoid was obscuring the broken cable.) I don't see anything like that in the schematics. Why would it be there? Is it some sort of mod? I left it there assuming there's a purpose but I'm curious as to what it is.

Pic attached of solenoid with S1 cable disconnected.

I was gonna say...uh oh! Someone had a "go fast" button wired on there!

Crash beat me to it.

Pull all that out and just put a new solid wire in place.
