Default Verify DCS or PDS EZGO

Hi guys, new here.

I have a 1998 EZGO, electric. The other day my bride and I were riding along and the cart lurched a bit and then stopped. We smelled smoke, lifted the seat and found smoke coming out of the Run/Tow cover. I'm assuming that since the only two things in that compartment are the solenoid and the speed controller that my speed controller has fried. I'm looking to be sure I buy the proper one for the cart.
It's at 1998, electric, F/R Lever is under the front of the seat, there's a Run/Tow switch under the seat on the Controller/solenoid cover.

I believe it to be a DCS model and I think I should get a 300AMP controller.
Can anyone confirm my thoughts and recommend the best place to get a controller?
Thanks.

Welcome Dude
Sounds like a DCS cart. I would go to the XCT400DCS control. It is going to improve torque by 35% and speed. Use the chart below to confirm DCS. Correct me if I'm wrong but I try to have the lowest prices on the internet.
