Default Hot motor!!

Just came back from a ride with my wife on my golf cart a notice that it was kind of sluggish when I got back I stuck my hand to the motor and it was hot as a firecracker and we did take a rest About 2 miles into the trip and had a pretty good Hill on the way back .... In the solenoid was kind of hot too...what's happening?

It's all subjective until numbers are used. The other posts they have actual numbers.
