That is a sign of a bad solenoid.

So i went to bring back that solenoid i had just bought and i told then i had bo continuity between small pegs and that there was only 1 volt on my blue wire peg...he said must be my cart solenoid is good..am i missing something?!

If that solenoid did in fact have no continuity between the two small terminals, whoever tested it at the dealer you took it to, missed something.

I'm with johnny. That is if the hot wire on small post actually had voltage on them while on the post.

You should read the solenoid's coil ohms between the small posts.

The coil probably draws about 1A continuous when energized, so a 36V coil would probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 36Ω.
Might be more. Might be less. We are looking for continuity rather than a specific Ohmic value. |
