Default Txt voltage while driving under load?

2000 txt series cart
500 amp alltrax
4 gauge wires
Heavy duty FnR
48 volts running 6 volts with 2 in bag well.

Cart runs but is losing power quickly. I suspect batteries. They are 5 years old. Pack voltage is 50.1. Terminals are clean tight.

Hooked leads to pack and then out to DVM where I could watch under load. Drops to 44 volts almost immediately while driving.

What should a 48 volt cart be at while driving on flat ground and a hill?

Thanks guys

i think you have the idea, almost definitely batteries. I don't know exact numbers but if it drops to 44 volts that is way too low.

46 volts is a normal cruising voltage on a just off the charger and good batteries.

44 volts on flat ground pedal to the floor and you should be considering going home.

42 volts flat ground pedal to the floor, you should be at home.

Ive done a lot of digital meters over the years, and some testing, so I know the numbers. All I install now is digital meters also, so I have to give this info to the customers.

Cool, thanks for the info. Not sure what the number should have been while cruising.

I installed 8 new Trojan T-105's today and a one point watering system. They were all 6.3 volts. Hooked them up, tightened everything, sprayed connections. Put on to charge. I'll report back what the under load voltage is once it's fully charged.
