I have found an Altrax AXE 4834 that is said to be unused for $250.
Seller says unit was purchased to use in an electric vehicle project about a year ago, but the project changed direction and it was never used.
He does not have the paper work that came with unit.

Would be about a 6 hr round trip to pick it up.

Other than appearance is there any bench tests that could be conducted that would indicate condition. DVM--OHMS----continuity??

Would like to get this project off my hands as soon as possible. Others are standing in line. (Wife's are next, she says!!)

You can do better. One of these guys here will mail you a used control for less.

Been away for a couple of weeks, travel and lung/breathing problems.

I received a used controller. Not installed yet. Owner said cart was running, although slow up hill. Removed controller to upgrade to stronger controller and larger tires.

Upon testing continuity/ohms between between B- and M- posts I get .48 ohms each way. Old controller was 0 ohms each way. Johnnie B says should be continuity only one way.

Am I still in trouble? Will wait to see replies before I continue.

I have conducted conductivity/ohms resistant on the motor, wiring and forward/reverse switch and find that everything seems to be in order.
