I just purchased a 96 EZgo Medalist and no nothing about it. I have a TXT and a Yamaha cart and they are such different carts in many ways. so if anyone has any kind of input as far as what to check or replace , things that are different verses the others ect. please let me know , id appreciate it very much.

Re: new Medalist owner?
The medalist was the TXT before the TXT was born......
basically the Medalist is a TXT with a steel body on it |

Rabbit is right. The medalist and the txt are the same cart except for the metal body. If you ever wanted to, a txt body will work on that cart. The one in my profile pic was a 94 medalist.

Re: new Medalist owner?
Yes, 99% of the TXT parts fit the Medalist. It was the first yr TXT, same design with a metal body. Your's is a series drive cart.

Re: new Medalist owner?
ok so I have a sepex and a series cart. I understand a bit about the sepex cart but the series is way foreign to me. What can I do to it?

Re: new Medalist owner?
I'm trying to decide which one to keep and what one to sell. I'd like to keep the one that I can do more to. Not nessasarly cheaper but there's that too.

What do you plan to do with the cart? Speed? Torque? Hills? Series carts are designed for more torque, and sepex carts are better designed for speed. If it's just a neighborhood cart, you may want the sepex, if it's a hunting cart, you would want the series.
