Default 2002 Ford Th!nk Thread

Hello all,

Was wondering if we have any owners of a Ford Think? I've been working a 4 seater version for the last month. Got it up and running and would like to share my experience if there are any other owners out there.

I work on a bunch of them. Customers tow them to me from all over. Have one here now from Pennsylvania and have another one coming from Jacksonville this weekend.

Biggest thing I see is mechanics butcher these cars. Just finished one this week, that was killed by the previous repair company. I have a parts car here, that was so ruined by the repair company the only parts any good are body parts.

Got mine at an auction. Pretty bad as it lived it's life near the ocean. Rusty and locked brakes. Got nothing as the batteries were dead.

Re-did all the brakes and removed "all" the rust. Powdercoated wheels and new tires. Cluster repaired and lots and lots of painting. She runs awesome now. Just a few more things to paint/install. Also got a 4 seater enclosure for it too.

Nothing. I leave them stock Too many issues when after market motors or controllers added. Last thing you want to do is modify a Think. Parts are scares and as the aftermarket parts are added, the cars get worse.
There are many I wont work on they are so hacked up.
