DCS go problem
Clicks and goes for short distance and then dies. Will not click or anything. Next day, click and go for short distance (100') and then dies. Repeat. This is an Alltrax 400DCS with HD solenoid. Been working great. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: DCS go problem
Is this an XCT400DCS or just some old NPX Alltrax? The XCTs have the means to connect to a laptop and pull codes, or you can jack the rear of the car up and let it run until it dies and look at the flash codes from the LED on the controller. the manuals are free online from Alltrax.
Also what are the battery voltages? |

Re: DCS go problem
My receipt from Carts Unlimited just calls it an "Alltrax 400DCS & HD solenoid kit". Dated 9/20/2013, if that tells you anything. Will check voltages and post. Thank for your response.

Re: DCS go problem
even an older type (NCX/NPX) will have an LED and a corresponding manual to look up any flash codes. It should flash a few times when powered on and end solid green, usually depends but can be with key on or when you hit the accelerator pedal to energize the solenoid.
With car on jackstands with rear wheels off the ground, try running it and watching the LED when it shuts down, it should be flashing a few red flashes. IIRC if it shows 6 red flashes that is i think the controller failure code but something tells me your issue is low battery voltage. |

Re: DCS go problem
2013 would be the DCX400, it has a LED status light. It should be flashing a fault code when it quits. Can you tell us what that code is? See the Alltrax DCX LED status codes attached.
