Default 2010 36 Volt TXT PDS Cart NEW 48 volt Batteries?

I have a 2010 TXT pds cart running at 42 volts from seven 6 volt batteries. Its needing new batteries and I was thinking about buying 6 8 volt batteries. Will the Curtis PDS Regen 36V 350A controller handle the 48 volts without blowing up? Its handling the 42 volts without any issues.

It will not handle 48v for long, if at all.

The PDS motor is not a good candidate for 48v either. Our experience is it over works on 48 and lives a rather short life. A better approach would be a new motor/controller and batteries/charger for 48v operation. It's kind of a big commitment but well worth the results here > http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...s-upgrade.html

What about at 42 volts. I'm still trying to decide and was going to do 42 volts with a motor upgrade later but perhaps I just better save my pennies and go with the motor too. Already have controller and solenoid.
