Winter Battery Storage (out of cart)
So I have a Club Car Precedent with the 4x12 batteries. I've got my cart in storage for the winter, but there's no electricity there, so I took the batteries out and have them in my garage.
What do I need to do to keep them in good shape over the winter? Do I just hook a regular 12v trickle charger up to each one for a while, cycling through them? Do I hook them up in parallel and just charge them all at the same time? Thanks for any suggestions or pointers. |

which ever way you go make sure they get fully charged and check water after full charge is completed always store Batteries fully charged in a cold climate

I suggest getting one of these:
http://products.batterytender.com/Ch...emisphere.html They go for about half list price at most places. |

If you have them fully charged, a battery tender may be enough to keep them charged in parallel with a trickler. Just have to test it and see. If not, once a month or so charge each of them to top them off.

I've used the HF version, and boiled batteries with them. YMMV.

Re: Winter Battery Storage (out of cart)
Years ago my Son In Law gave me a Horror Freight battery tender. Come home from work some 4 or more weeks later only to find the battery completely flat line. The charger had shorted out and completely drained the battery of ALL voltage...
