PDS won't run
It's been a while since I've worked on a cart so I've got a few questions. Got asked to help on an elderLy man's transportation.
Have pack voltage at 37.2. Voltage stays when pedal is pressed down. Solenoid does click. On A1 I have 6.6 volts then drops to zero as you press the pedal. I have .8 to 2.7 over the range of the throttle on the tpi. Ive tried another controller with the same results. Where would you test from here? |

Re: PDS won't run
A1 ought to have full battery pack voltage (37.2V needs to be charged) when pedal is pushed just far enough to make solenoid click and you are only getting 6.6V?
Not much between battery B+ and A1. Solenoid contacts, motor (brushes) and three high current cables. |

Re: PDS won't run
Yes only 6.6 when solenoid clicks on, then drops down to zero over the travel of the pedal.

Re: PDS won't run
Like I said, there's not much between B+ and A1.
You ought to have 37.2V at A1 when the solenoid clicks and you've only got 6.6V, so somewhere between A1 and B+ at the battery, something is dropping 30.6V. Find-out whatever it is and fix it. |
