Default Our EzGo goes 20mph - how'd the previous owner do it... pics attached.

Hi guys, got here a 36v ezgo txt and it goes 20 mph and I cannot figure out what mod the previous owner did to increase it's speed. Not complaining just dunno what he did..

Also wanted to know based off the images:
-what year it is?
-is it a dcs or series cart?
-does it have an upgraded motor, or some high speed chip/controller, or did he change the gearing?

Has great torque and speed. The run /tow switch is located on the controller cover. Just wondering I can't find any definite answers on this cart.

Thanks Much!

Its a PDS with the freedom mode jumper installed on the controller. 19mph is normal in that configuration.

That’s a PDS controller with a series/DCS FNR. Weird. Send a picture of the back of the forward and reverse switch.

It’s definitely a PDS but why the FNR handle?

I have heard, but never seen in person, that early PDS had a handle.

Must be a DCS type handle that controls the PDS controller.

Here's the front and back of the run/tow switch.

So the owner upgraded the controller for it to hit 20 mph or what?

Yep.. I owned one. Late 99 to early 01 pds cart. Shifter looks like a silver puck similar to the dcs cart but different switch configuration. Speed came from the 4 pin jumper on the top passenger side of the controller. Puts it in freedom mode.

So this 4 orange wired chip changes the controller to allow higher speeds you say... Is that simply it? http://prntscr.com/l8pfu8

I had a 2000 PDS with the regular dashboard switch.
