Pds motor underwater ⚡️
Got a 2004 ezgo pds golfcart that was underwater, about halfway up controller and into motor, I replaced controller,it ran for a while, then stopped, sent controller off to be rebuilt again, but I want to check motor before reinstalling controller,How do I test pds motor(like I said it ran ok for about 20 minutes),If I take it off, what do I look for?

Re: Pds motor underwater ⚡️
Salt water? If so the motor is probably really bad. I would definitely disassemble it.

I agree with Luke. Disassemble the motor and make sure the brushes can move freely. Also I would stop wasting time and money rebuilding the controller. Put an Alltrax on it and be done with it. That way if you do have motor problems, it won't take the controller out with it. Alltrax is protected from short circuits.
