The motor is drawing excessive current which is pulling the battery pack down pretty hard. I would say the motor brushes are worn or worse. If the budget allows put a Admiral A2 (corrected B2) motor in it. If not put brushes in the old motor and clean the armature up.

It is a 1996 EZGO DCS, so shouldn't that be a "B" model number?

If possible and practical, can you do another data log after you install the remaining 2Ga cables?

I'd love to see how much improvement replacing those three 6Ga cables will accomplish.

Also, what is the max inflation pressure stamped on the sidewalls of your 22" tall tires?

JohnnyB,

Should he measure all 3 cable lengths for old and new?

I can smell a spreadsheet brewin'.

Said he was ordering them, so I suspect the builder will know what lengths are needed.

The spreadsheet for cable losses already exists.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant he should measure them for your analysis.

Wouldn't want old ones to end up in the trash. A few inches +\- may make a difference.

And technically this would be the opposite of a spreadsheet for cable losses. Here we'll have the actual losses, and would be solving for losses per linear foot, no?

Thanks so much guys. This is great info.
1) my tires are 20 max psi. Looks like I only have 7-10 in them currently. So I’ll be inflating them to 18-20 and that should help speed.
2) I’m getting lengths to get cables made. I used the 6 gage ones in place for the thin ones to the motor. I am replacing the 2, 6 awg wires to motor with new 2 awg.
3) the short 6 awg from controller to selenoid was the one getting hot. I used one of my longer 2 awg from original kit in place of it. It’s like 24” long but really only needs to be 12-14”. Is that a problem? I’m getting 2 shorter 2awg from battery -/+ made because the ones they sent were extra long. So really the only one that has access length is one from controller to selenoid. Should I use a shorter one there and use this 24” from battery - or + instead? Is there a place where access length isn’t as big an issue?
4) once I get cables in and installed, I’ll re monitor the cart on that drive and attach the file.

Thanks!!!!
