Default Steering Wheel Column Screeching When Turning

When I turn my steering wheel, there is a horrible screeching sound coming from within the steering column, directly below the steering wheel. I've attached a photo of where the sound is coming from. I'm trying to figure out how to get this to stop. I've tried spraying WD40 down the column, doesn't work. I've thought it might be a bearing? Does anyone know or have gone through this and found a solution?

think your going to have to pull it apart to find out.

You have a smell solid steel shaft that runs thru the outer tube that you see.
Its rubbing some where.

don't know your cart year but mine has a plastic piece that keep the center shaft centered in the outer housing so it does not rub.

There is no movement there to make that sound. The shaft is inside, and it would be more of a metal rubbing metal grinding sound. Being it’s a RXV, I’ve seen many with the squeaking sound when turning and going up over a curb into driveway. Your cart needs an alignment, I’ve done this to several carts and it fixes the problem.
