Default Ezgo txt pds 07 charger turns off after abut 30 min.

So I recently tore the cart down and had the body replaced on it after that everything work fine. Afew weeks later the charger keeps turning off early.

I'll try to give you as much info as I can

Batteries are new about 6 months old interstate brand.

Charger is a powerwise and the circuit board was replaced back in April.

Charger turns on after about a few seconds and the amps only go to about 10

I don't have any other chargers available to me to use.

Now when I took the body off and replaced the battery tray I did make a mistake and did not separate the 2 contacts inside the battery charger port hole on the body when I hook the battery backup. I ended up getting some arcing on the batteries when I try to hook them back up. But after that it charged and ran fine.

What should I be checking for? Bad controller? My bolt meter took a crab on me so I'm heading to the store now to pick up a new one.

Looks like you either had a loose nut or a badly corroded terminal that wasn't making good contact. I guess someone also could have overtightened the nut on the stud too and caused it to turn in the lead causing a poor connection. Either way, a bad connection equals resistance which equals heat. Therefore, you get a melted terminal. You can drill and tap that other end of the battery terminal and put a 5/16 stud in it so you can still use it, provided it isn't leaking acid. Search the internet on how to do it.

You can drill a very short (less than 1/2 inch) self tapping screw into the middle of the lead on that post and keep running/troubleshooting. If you over torque it, you are done but you are dead in the water now anyways.

Thanks guys I went ahead and brought the battery back and they swapped it out for me at no charge.

But I did learn how to do the drill, tapp and stud on the other side of the battery terminal. when I was trying to hook everything back up after I took the body off I had some arcing on the battery cables. It messed up the threads on the original studs and I could not get the nuts to thread on.
