2019 valor
Ok guys I am new here but I have a question. I have owned a carborated 2013 club car xrt 850 and adjusted the governor to get a speed of 28 mph. I just bought a brand new 2019 valor and have adjusted the governor on it. I can get 27 mph on ground with a slight incline but a soon as I hit level ground or down hill the engine wants to continuously rev down and rev up it's really annoying. It causes you to jerk back and forth. What is causing it and what can I do about it? This is the new one that is fuel injected by the way. All help is very much appreciated.

Re: 2019 valor
It's the electronic rev limiter shutting off the ignition at a certain rpm. It's preventing you from causing the damage that you are so desperately trying to do.

Re: 2019 valor
But I have the engine at a higher rpm when I am on a slight incline when I have it up to 27 mph. It's when the cart levels off that it starts cutting out. It could very well be the limiter but it really seems odd. At any rate what can be done to bypass it.

Re: 2019 valor
I can get 30 mph out of it and hear the governor kicking in but as soon as the ground levels out you can't get over 23 mph or it starts cutting back. Any ideas?

Re: 2019 valor
It was the governor. It really didn't add up because I could get up to 30 mph on an incline before it kicked out but on level ground or a decline it would kick out constantly. I zip tied it and cured the problem. Installing a speedometer and a tachometer to keep an eye on things.
