How do you like them? I just picked up one with a Curtis cab to use on my Tree Farm.

IMO, they eat brakes, and the trannys are a weak spot. Shifter linkage get sloppy. Parts are getting hard to find for them too.

What type of operation would put the Transmission in jeopardy? Just putting around the yard and down a logging trail at 5-6mph to me seems like a low stress operation for it.

I'm guessing hauling of any kind (load in the bed, trailers, pulling stumps/trees).

I dont plan on pulling stumps or trees. but hauling my chain saw and feed sacks I will do. I have a Kubota L4600 for the grunt heavy work.

I also do not plan on hauling any trailers. just general old man driving on some logging trails and in the yard.

I'm thinking it would be fine for your needs. Sounds like you have the right equipment for hauling heavy. Just remember that the ST is a golf cart based machine so it's not much better than a golf cart lol.

The only thing that im concerned with is 1 of my properties is about 2.5 miles down the road and I cruise down the road at 20mph. hoping that doesnt put much wear and tear on the bearings. I need to see if these hubs separate and have replaceable bearings.

Driving is considered "normal operation".
