Default Workhorse engine replacement

First off I'm sure this has been covered but I haven't found the info I need.

I have a 1997 workhorse with a 295 engine. The engine is getting tired and using oil. It takes a minute to build oil pressure after it's been sitting a while.

I want to keep the cart stock level quiet (I use it at hunting camp)

I have looked at rebuild kits and ebay reman engines. The ebay remans seem like a good deal.

My questions:

Can I swap in a 350 engine or do I have to buy one of the bored out 295s to get more power?

Who is a reputable seller ebay or otherwise?

Thanks in advance

A 350 should work as long as it's a pre-mci motor, I hear good things about Motors and More
just outside of Augusta Ga. Also bad things about ebay rebuilders.

I just had a 350 engine done by Motors and More. The full rebuild is $700, mine needed a crank, that was $300, shipping was $70. Total $1070 delivered. I bolted it in, hooked everything back up in about 3 hours. Vrooom! She purrs like a.....well.....a rebuilt Robin 350 twin.

Just got my engine back from motors and more. So far so good! Turns out it is a 350cc just had a 295 heat shield on it.

Not uncommon, most Workhorses had the 350, and people change parts all the time over the years. Glad it's the 350!
