How do I check the Speed Controller

I'm a newbie electric cart owner....I have a 2002 ez go electric TXT "Series" golf cart and want to know how do I check the speed controller to see if it's good, bad or less than normal.

Download a service manual from the stickies and there will be controller test procedures in there. You can also get a bench test procedure from Curtis's website.
