Re: 2004 DS IQ 48 Volt..PLEASE LOOK
After installing the Plum Quik motor you will not need the code 4. The speed sensor is no longer active.

The quy at PQ told me it might give me an extra 1-2 mph, but if not I will not waste my money. I still am not clear , does the "code" go to the the controller as a power setting ? |

I was told the code logic was tied directly into the motor and not the controller...so as someone else said the logics gone with the new PQ motor. BTW I GPS's mine today and it was 15mph. So is that speed code 2 or 3?? |

Re: 2004 DS IQ 48 Volt..PLEASE LOOK
I wonder why the PQ guy told me the code four setting would still get me
1-2 mph... hmmm... surely those guys would know that their motor would delete code settings. Maybe I talked to their janitor : ) Oh well, I will roll the dice and get their motor anyways. I am still curious how their motor would work without controller upgrades, wires, etc. I guess I'll find out. Sorry OP, not trying to hijack yer thread with all this PQ talk : ) |

You are @ speed mode 3, I made the speed sensor adapter and get 20 on mode 3. I just installed large tires 22mph and im seeing 24mph on an otherwise stock unit, I don't believe i would install a motor first.
