Default 36 Volt analog meter

My meter stays in the white area " charge" is it possible to wire it backwards?
Is it true this meter drains the battery since it is not conected to the on off switch?

Yes, it's possible to wire it bass-ackwards, but I believe you have it correct. Mine also stays in the "charge" range. The black line divider (between green and white ranges) is almost precisely 36v on mine. If I use it long enough to hit the line, I put it back on the charger. It doesn't happen often, though. Usually it takes quite a bit of pulling heavy wagons to drain the batteries that far down in the 10 hour average workday that I spend on it.

Gotta agree with kab69440, my meter has only gotten down into the green once after a long circle around the ranch. I usually charge it till it's at least halfway up the white.

Addenum:
The meter leeches a pathetically small amount of current. Unless you leave the thing for weeks on end without recharging, I wouldn't worry about it. You can always wire a momentary button switch to either lead to cut the current and show a reading on- demand.

No matter what ANYONE tells you, they are not charged correctly until YOU charge them.

Make sure to break them in right, otherwise you'll never get the peak performance out of those things:

I Dunno where you guyz are getting your meters? I have an inexpensive ($15) analog meter on my site that reads all thru the green and down to the red when it is time to recharge.... only in the white when it is full full full.... Have put them on every cart that stops by They are all in the green?

Maybe you are putting 36v meter on a 48v cart???????
