Exclamation Does anyone else have a 1986 Sun Classic G3A

I just aquired a 1986 sun classic. I put a new battery in it and it runs, slow but running. Tomorow I am going to put a new spark plug, air filter, and fuel filter in and try to bypass the governor. The brakes feal good and no noise so I think I'm going to leave those alone for now.

Now the question: What else should I be looking at to make sure this thing is not going to die on me one day? It is really hard to find info on this cart. I found the owners manual on-line along with the parts manual but nothing compares to peoples experiences but searching this site I could find no info on the G3A.

The g3a is a 215cc two stroke that does not require a fuel mixture because it has seperate tanks for fuel and oil and does the mixing for you, this is what I have come to understand through research. Is there anything else I should know?

I wouldnt reccomend trusting the separate tanks because many times they dont operate correctly causing engine damage. If it were me I would still mix the gas and oil together just to be safe...

So just empty the oil tank and put the mixture in the fuel tank. Would i have to modify anything.

I have worked with alot of 2 strokes with chainsaws and weed eaters and Im assuming the G1 is the same way. I belive you would just mix it in the gas tank. You may want to get a G1 owner to confirm that but it seems like common sense to me.

if you premix be aware that it will use more oil faster and smoke and smell more also it fill likely plug up the muffler much faster unless you run it on longer runs were it gets hot enough to burn it out......the auto oilers on the g1 are reliable....mines 28 years old and works great......you just have to inspect the hoses everyonce in a while to make sure they are in good shape.....it is up to you though....

If the oil injection works i wouldn't mess with it, but if it starts acting weird at all i would by pass it, i have an 80's yamaha three wheeler that still has the orginal injections system and it works good as new.
