Yes . . that is the V Glide . . and hole should not be there . .

if you have a hole in it than you need to open it and see whats up inside.....that could be a lot of the issue...........................post a pic or 2 when you get it open....................................

ok i got it open, here are the pics. what ya think? the last pic shows some more of the bronze arc, does this mean that i could get some more throttle out of it?

get those blocks clean and smooth same with the wiper arm and see if that helps.............from the pics it looks like it should even though i see where it was touching a bit it kinda looks old...................................

Ok ill do that and report back. Does it matter that the 'lever' is not all the way down (still some bronze at the bottom) when at rest? Thanks again, nick

i beleive theres an adjusment to move the lever one way or the other......where its bolted on isn,t that oblonged there?....................................

Under the car is linkage with small tie rod ends . . the rod is threaded on both ends with a lock nut . . the tie rod ends disassemble easily and can be screwed in/out for adjustment enabling full stroke of wiper arm in V-Glide . .

can you loosen the screw and move the arm sideways a bit in both directions? i,m not sure but i thought they had room for adjustment in either direction......................................... .......
