2000 ds reagin cart wont go
Hi guys,
Its been a while since I was on, things have been going good. But, I have a friends cart in my shop trying to get it going for his daughter for Christmas. It is a 2000 CC DS Reagin 48 Volt Cart. He attempted to convert it to an Altrax Controller, and it has been wired according to the instructions. The cart will not move, I cannot hear the solenoid activate and no power is coming to the activator wires on the solenoid. The cart has batteries that are 17 months old and I have cleaned and load tested all of them and they are good. I get 57.3 volts across the pack. Any ideas that is the problem? Thanks in advance DeWayne Last edited by dewaynew; 12-03-2011 at 12:36 PM.. Reason: add pictures |

Re: 2000 ds reagin cart wont go
You need to confirm if this is a Regen I or a Regen II cart, Alltrax does not have a controller interface for Club Car PD Plus Regen 1 cars.
Regen II carts use the DCX line of controls http://alltraxinc.com/files/Doc100-0...tion-Guide.pdf If you have the correct control, go to the document depot and print the install diagram and start trouble shooting the solenoid activation circuit. |

Re: 2000 ds reagin cart wont go
i think this might be as simple as what color was the old controller? if the controller that came out was the black one thats your problem if it was the silver one than follow what scotty posted.............this is one of the many reasons that dreaded black controller was only used for 2 years............from everything i have ever been able to find out you can,t put a aftermarket controller in to replace it...................................

ok your safe than.......follow what scotty posted......have you checked the microswitch that activates the solenoid? have you tried jumping the solenoid? these are a few things you can do and at least get them out of the way...............did the cart run before the controller was put in ? why was the controller put in?..................................... |

Re: 2000 ds reagin cart wont go
Okay,
We have verified the controller. I did find out that the cart would not run before the controller was changed. I have checked the Tow/Run switch. It is good. I have battery pack voltage on pins 6 and 10, but not on pin 9. The reed switch in the charger port is good. The solenoid is good. I have battery pack voltage going into the Variable Resistor Switch. Im lost now....what else is there to check? Thanks DW |

Re: 2000 ds reagin cart wont go
I'm wondering if maybe it could be the OBC.

Re: 2000 ds reagin cart wont go
is the charger working? if you can wait for david there is a bypass you can do to see if it might be OBC related......you run a jumper from the grey wire to the neg. terminal of #6 battery and i beleive solenoid should click if OBC is bad however i,m not 100% certain so before you try it wait for someone else to confirm......i beleive you connect the jumper wire at the fuse holder...........................
