Surging, especially under load
I bought a completely refurbished 2002 48 volt Club Car DS, in cart legal Canyon Lake CA. It has new batteries per Canyon Golf Cars, and the batteries check out OK.
The cart surges as it is running, like the power is being delivered to the wheels unevenly. It is only moderately noticeable on a flat or downhill road, however going uphill it slows down significantly and the pulsating becomes very uncomfortable, and it worsens, the steeper the hill. The dealer says the cart checks out OK, and he put in a 25 MPH motor, upgrading the OEM 20 MPH model, but its not enjoyable to ride in. I've never owned a cart before, and I am not knowledgeable about the drive-train. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary Last edited by Parrotguy; 05-09-2012 at 08:48 PM.. Reason: spelling |
