Default 08 precedent issues

first time posting and having some issues. I changed out the rear end gears (graziano type) and now the cart wont move, i can hear it trying (dont hear anything inside the rear end just kinda hear the motor trying to go. I tore it back apart and all is in correctly together.
Only wierd thing that happened is i touched a post on the motor with a wrench and it sparked. Do you suppose i have damaged the controller or motor? or am i barking up the wrong tree? if i hit the gas full throttle over and over again the wheels turn a little. thxs for you help, its very appreciated. paul

. . . sparks at motor from wrench . . . . Houston, we have a problem . . . your assumptions are probably correct . . . possibly a controller . . Tahoe will be along any moment to provide you with the prognosis . . .

Bad controller for sure. It doesn't take much of an arc to cause it either. That's no fun man. Sorry to give ya the bad news.
