Re: i need help with my E-Z Go golf cart
That should be enough to run it, have you gotten a diagram from the stickies at the top of this section for your cart?
Is the solenoid clicking when you try to go? |

Re: i need help with my E-Z Go golf cart
Get the cart wiring diagram from the stickies above and troubleshoot the solenoid activation circuit
A quick overview of the solenoid is : A quick overview of the solenoid is : The solenoid is a HD on/off switch or Contactor the connection is made /broken between the 2 large terminals. The 2 small terminals are the activation circuit. Typically one small terminal will have a constant negative connection to the pack. When Positive power is applied to the second small terminal a magnetic field is created and the contact is drawn up to make contact between the 2 big posts. When power from either side of the activation circuit is removed then contact is released and the spring pushes it away interrupting the circuit ...It doesn't matter which small terminal is negative or positive on the activation circuit so long as you have both.... |

Re: i need help with my E-Z Go golf cart
A Marathon is a series cart so it is likely the problem is in the F&R
Check that the F&R micro switch is activated (passing voltage) in both F and R position. If yes then I would suspect the F&R contacts are compromised, no longer conducting current. Look for any sign of black, red, or burnt lugs at the cable connections. Try to wiggle the cable connections, any looseness is a bag sign, lastly look for a cable stud that has drooped. Hope this helps |
