Default johnnieb & scottyb ? Powerwise control board

...well anybody else can chime in... lol

I have purchased a new controller board for my Powerwise charger. A couple of ?s.

First by looking at the old one that is installed I noticed that both the black wire to the AC Cord and to the transformer are hardwired and bypassing the black box on the board, which I assume is a relay. This could have been my problem in the charger not shutting off when batteries are charged. The one black one is hardwired into the AC cord. The other is going straight from transformer to the XF on control board.

Now as for the new board/panel... Does this new one replace both boards. The one at the base AND the one at the heatsink panel. I am pretty sure this does. Also I am pretty sure I am going to need some connections and some wire... Thanks

The new control board is a plug and play replacement for both boards.
Did you not get the instruction sheet?

Yes sir I did. Just noticed the sentence replacement of both. Can you give me more input on the above by pass of the relay (black box)

The black wire (Hot) in the AC power cord should go to one of the 1/4" push-on terminals on the the the Relay (Black cube on the control board) and the wire on the other 1/4" push-on terminal should go to the transformer.

The white wire (Neutral) in the AC power cord should connect to the other wire from the transformer, but it might be wired to some straight through terminals on the control board.

Thanks gentlemen. Got it all situated and installed. Plugged up to DC power first. Waited for a click, got the click, then installed AC power, went to 20A, then dropped down, gradually, to below 10A. Now just awaiting for the auto shut off!
