Re: No power to solenoid
Does the cart charge when you plug it in?
What reading do you get across the entire pack? Does the reverse buzzer sound when you put it in reverse, and do you hear a click when you step on the go pedal? |

Re: No power to solenoid
The charger does not register when plugged in.
It reads 50.7 volts. No buzzer sound when in reverse. |

Re: No power to solenoid
The faint clicking noise is probably just the micro switch in the go pedal.
There are 2 problems here: 1.) cart is not charging 2.) cart is not running For the first problem, you can open up the charger to bypass the OBC. If it charges after this, the OBC is bad, and will need to be replaced. We really need to get a full charge on the cart, especially since they are brand new batts. |

Re: No power to solenoid
I thought the OBC was the on board computer on the golf cart? If the OBC is in the charger, what does it look like?

Re: No power to solenoid
. . . the OBC is in the golf cart . . . it controls the relay inside the charger to turn the charger on . . . the relay in the charger can be jumpered out to "bypass the OBC", ie, the OBC's ability to control the charger and forcing the charger ON . . .

Re: No power to solenoid
Follow the picture on page 4 of this thread to jump the relay: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...charger-4.html If cart charges, then you hav yourself a bad OBC. Dont leave the charger unattended when you do this, because it will charge forever and will not shut off. The OBC is an off white box right next to the controller.

Re: No power to solenoid
It appears that the OBC is bad. It seems odd that the solenoid, the controller, the batteries, and now the OBC is bad. What in the world could cause all of this to go bad?

Re: No power to solenoid
Also, how long should I let it charge for with by-pass on the charger? It would be nice to use the car for the 4th of July. I want to thank everyone who contributed to teaching an old dog a new trick. Have a happy 4th July and God Bless.
