Re: 1996 club car
I would start with this and post your results after.
Resetting the Club Car On board computer - reset the OBC To reset the OBC the following must be done in this order: If no Tow/Run Switch then skip that step • Key Switch to Off • Forward/Reverse to Neutral • Tow/Run Switch to Tow • Disconnect the Battery NEGATIVE (–) wire from the Battery Minus terminal on the battery pack. • Put the Tow/Run to Run • Forward/Reverse Switch to Reverse • Key Switch to On • Lock the throttle pedal down The reverse buzzer will sound and go off in about 30 seconds. Leave the cart like that for 5 min to cause the OBC to reset. To reconnect the OBC back into the system: • Key Switch to Off • Forward/Reverse Switch to Neutral • Tow/Run switch to Tow • Reconnect the Batt – wire to the battery minus terminal on the battery pack. |

Re: 1996 club car
I really appreciate the help..... so I decided to test the batteries before I tried to reset the OBC and I found one battery that was reading 7.6 volts on my volt meter but then I test with a hydrometer and found that all cells were dead . so I got a new battery and I will put it in tomorrow to see if that cures the problem .
would it still be a good idea to reset the OBC after battery replacement |

If you put the good battery in and it runs good and charges, you are good to go. |

I bought a set of interstates one time and had to replace one within a month due to a bad cell

Re: 1996 club car
You should not need to reset the OBC upon installing new batteries.
In my experience OBC reset hardly ever fixes any problem, lol. |
