Default Snubber Help for 2004 CC V-Glide

I'm working on a 2004 Club Car V-Glide resistor cart, 36 Volt. Using OEM solenoid (70 or 100 Amp), the posts are heating up and melting into the plastic on the solenoid. This has happened twice in 30 days with new solenoids. New batteries installed before it happened. I am thinking continued riding without stopping (30 minutes to an hour) is more than the OEM solenoid is designed for. I am switching to a 200 AMP solenoid. My question is about the snubber across the two solenoid posts. There is a diode across the coil and the snubber across the posts. The manual only says "If you replace the solenoid, replace the snubber". I can't find any info on the snubber or where to buy. I was wondering if I can put a resistor across the posts like the Pre-Charge resistor shown on the ALLTRAX Lessons Learned PDF. The cart doesn't have a controller with capacitors so I didn't know if it's the same application. Is the SNUBBER just a resistor or a Resistor/Capacitor circuit?

Thanks for any help or advice.

I won't be back to the cart until the weeke end so I don't have the SN. As I said, it's a 2004 Club Car DS, 36V resistor cart with V-Glide speed control.

Snubber application for solenoid for solid state/controller models ? Have not experienced one on either of my carts a 90 and 93 36v v-gluide. assume the diode is external.
