Voltage on frame

My bet is on the lights wiring, that would explain the voltage level you are getting.

Simple man, I have already removed the wires from the motor and tested without the wires connected and the voltage remains. What a trick. Thanks for the reply! Any test is welcome

Seems to be a problem with the two middle batteries. I removed them ast night and cleaned them again. I also added some rubber foam to the tray on the bottom. With the cabes disconnected from the batteries but still installed i was picking up about 15v. With them removed i got none. Going to reinstall when i get home. Anymore suggestions are welcome! Lol, cause im not sure this is going to fix this rascal.

Maybe it is not the batteries but the weight of the batteries flexing or squeezing some wires together when the batteries are in... Are there any wires or harness under those batteries?

What are You "cleaning" the batteries with ?

If your frame had no ground, voltage wouldn't be able to flow through it.

I'm not a cart mechanic, I'm just taking an educated guess.

I just metered my cart and have 0 continuity between pack negative and the frame, I do however get 28.8v if I take my pack negative and frame as test points.

it could be as simple as the horn grounded to the frame or a ground at the obc ... only way to find it is wire by wire

with the batteries being plastic i don;t see how they are the problem
