This is on a vehicle I know, but would you count this to be a good or bad setup? These are Cree LEDs in a 2012 Dodge truck.

I do like their brightness, but I'm wondering how far the bulbs project light and how wide is the illuminated area.
yes I can do that, I almost did when I was taking these, only problem is I live in a well lit neighborhood so you won't get a good perspective. From my experience and I still have the other lamps to run test if needed, these are certainly projecting about the same distance. It is tricky because these are also white light and the others are 36 watts not 30, so it will be difficult to tell without a light meter. Now that said the white light makes it easier on My old eyes at night to see, it illuminates better IMO. Again without a meter you won't get a true answer but the change to the 6K's was well worth the $30.

That's not my truck and I live in LA, so no chance in having that much snow.

Just curious as alot of people brag about LED, when in fact LED technology is far behind Halogen and HID. The picture is actually a very poor LED setup, BUT the light is very bright. You can clearly see that the light barely goes past the fenders, and really has minimal projection from the bulb. But again, the light itself is bright.

Is that snow in Louisiana?

Yup they are bright white like that but I'd have to compare the projection which I haven't. The Cree is the best LEDs but without the proper lamp to go with it then you have nothing I agree. For my purpose these are better for the cost than what I had, not saying I could do better but these were plug & play.
