The "key" was to let my wife know I might need her help again to unload it and load another one.

Hmmm. I wonder if I could have gotten away with buying a Bobcat instead of building the ramp? Should have thought of that at the time.

Its off the truck and after changing the battery and putting on charger I finely got it running, we had it running when I picked it up but wow, this thing is hard to get running, he had put a zip tie on the throttle cable to get more speed and this could be some of the problem and will fix that,
It has great compression and no knocks when running as that its is smooth and quiet when running, guess I will have to just go over it like I did with the EZ GO and fix all the thing everyone else screwed up, lol,,.

Hmmm. If the G8 guys would do that they would have a G9!!

Congrats on the good find --- lots of potential there and lots of good fun to be had.

I have a G-2 and two G9s (and an early EZGO that is just sitting there while I try to decide what to do with it. I want to believe I have too much pride to fix it to ride, but I might break down and do it when I run out of GOOD projects.

I don't know if those engine shrouds are the same, but I have a used set from a G9. They're in good shape. I had a G9 that was taken, and never got the chance to install them. If they work, contact me and we can work something out. I just don't want to throw them away.

Thanks Mike, if I figure this spark problem out I will definitely be interested in it if it will work, but if the spark problem ends up costing to much I will be looking at a brigs engine till I can go big block, I just have to see if the fix will be an easy one,,, Thanks..

Murf, coming from that ezgo to a Yamaha is like going to heaven. Yamaha's are fun to work on, and extremely tuneable. You won't go back. get that thing runnin and you will never touch it with a wrench again!

Mike D, don't you have a G16 now? And how do you like it?

I really like the G16. I just finished putting a lift kit, rims/tires, a Plowman's power clutch kit, and some dress up goodies on it. It runs great. My dad just picked up a G16 that is in need of an engine. He just got one of those 13 HP engines from Harbor Freight, and I've got him on the forum to get information on the install.
