I started getting white smoke out of the exhaust and some from the carb today. First thought was "Did I overfill the oil when I did the oil change?" When I checked, the oil was at the "add" level so I decided to give it time to settle back down but knowing the oil will collect at the back of the engine away from the dipstick didn't ease my worrying much. I then did an compression test, turns out driver side cylinder reads 95 and the passenger side reads 110 Tomorrow i'm going to do a valve adjustment and see if that helps any. I will also add oil if it's still reading that low, but when I checked the quart of oil that was left it was just over the half way mark so i'm pretty sure I added 1.4q. I'm guessing the rings are bad and with compression that low and oil in the air box.

Got the valve adjustment done, it raised the 20psi including doing a wet compression test. It runs a little stronger now but I still need to do some adjustment to the carb because I have to run it on choke for 15-30 seconds when it as sat longer than 30mins.

I also got to work on the seats a little. Picked up some gray marine vinyl from Joann's fabrics on sale. I was able to get the seat done and the speaker enclosures. I just have to do the backrest. I will be spraying the dash with plasti-dip to cover some paint splashes that was on it when I got it. I'm also thinking of using grey plasti-dip on the roof.

Little more progress today. Got the seats finished and installed. I also went ahead and sprayed a couple of coats of plasti-dip on the armrests and the dash. Although looking at the picture I can see where I missed a spot under the cup holders. Tried to install the speaker shrouds but the bolts I used didn't fit the old rivet holes well enough so I will be going to the hardware store tomorrow to get some better ones. Then it's installing the misc. trim pieces and maybe buying a few cans of the bed liner spray for the dump bed. Oh and i'm going to look for some light grey indoor/outdoor carpet to cover up the floor liner that has paint blotches all over it.

Got the speakers installed to day. Also picked up the grey plasti-dip, carpet and bed liner spray. The carpet is installed and started working on spraying the roof but only got about two coats done. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the roof, spray the dump bed with the bed liner and get all the trim pieces back on.

Thanks Boke.

I'm having an issue with oil coming out of the engine and into the air box through the vent tube.
