Front fork bushing removal
1977 3 wheel golf cart having trouble removing the bushings from the fork tubes, the service manual is lacking in detail. If any one knows the proper way to remove them please let me know.

Re: Front fork bushing removal
I made a removal tool out of a washer that I turned down to just under the size of the I.D. of the outer tube then flattened two sides so it could slip thru the bushing. I then installed this to a long 3/8 carriage bolt with a socket on the other end to use as a hammer to withdraw the bushing it seemed to work well.
Today I ordered four bushings from a local supply company that I am hoping will work to replace the old ones also ordered some hydraulic cylinder rod wipers I hope I can use to replace the seals. Hope this helps. |
