Hi everyone, got the SG somewhat working now.
Turned out that the default wiring was supposed for negative exciting while the regulator I have is positive. Swapping +/- on the SG (A1/F1) did the trick. I'm still having minor trouble with switching between starting and loading the battery. At full speed I'm charging with 2A whilst at idle speed the SG acts as auxiliary motor taking ~ -3A from the battery. For details see: this thread |
