Typical speed @S/G
Hi everyone,
I'd appreciate if someone could give me some information about the typical speed (idle + nominal) the S/G operates at during generation phase. Or alternatively motor speed + ratio to the S/G. Background being that I got my machine with a S/G running now, albeit having minor issues while in generation phase. I'm currently running with the following settings: Idle speed [/rpm]: 2100-2400 Load speed [/rpm]: 6000 This leads to a generator output of 2A@~13.8V at load. Going idle makes the S/G act as auxiliary motor consuming -3A@~13.2V from the battery. I'll probably need to increase the transmission ratio. As I didn't find anything in the Club Car wiring diagrams that'd prevent this aux motor behavior, I suppose that the engines idle speed suffices to generate a voltage higher than that of the battery. Regards, Werner. |
