Default My Universal Conversion Kit Installation Progress

I just started my conversion using the Universal Conversion Kit from www.Cartsunlimited.com So far I have got the parts I need, stripped the old parts out and started mounting the new. The directions are pretty thorough although I do have some questions and as I figure them out along the ways I will post so that it may help others in the future.

Ok I got the hardware mounted. THere was no real science to my strategy but try to use the bones I already had and drill a few holes and and a couple pieces of metal then bolt everything down. The instructions said keep things close and I think it turned out well.

Looks good - you can't get much closer or central.

Starting the wiring tonight. I only get a couple hours each night because I have two young kids. But I feel if you take your time and read your directions carefully it goes pretty smooth

Nice start

I did mine the same way over about a week period due to my young one. Took my time, ran all new wires and followed directions as close as possible. I only had one hiccup in the end that was just a matter of flipping the pot around.

The only suggestion I have, depending on the type of terrain you plan on driving in, is you might want to make some type of splash shield to keep everything dry and clean since it's mounted low. I know the controller is splash proof, but I'd still want to keep it as dry as possible. I like the central location you have though. Keep the updates coming.

I thought the same thing when I was putting the stuff in last night. Absolutely a splash guard
