Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
My plan is to get it running good and then do a Jake's lift and tires, spring/clutch mod, etc. I have a friend with a body shop that will paint it.

Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
If it were me I would pick it up for $600 -- in a heart beat. Even for $800... and I don't need another cart! I've got 2 running and one almost read as well as another as a future project!
It will probably clean out very easily ... clean the carb and lines, clean the tank, run some good fuel through and that will probably take care of any problem in that area. MAY be looking at a new filter (in-line is easiest). Electrical problem might be a bit trickier, but nothing too difficult or expensive. Any problem that developed just from sitting would likely be a loose connection. Buy it, haul it home and then ask questions (and send pics). Have a roll of Duct Tape ready and we should have it running in no time! |

Same case for mine it had been sitting for 3 years in the weather. I took the tank and carb off and cleaned replaced the fule line and filter and vacuum line. Put a plug in it cleaned the air filter and changed the oil it fired right up and purred like a kitten. Good luck hope you don't have any problems. LURCH!!!!! |

Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
Sweet! Thanks ya'll. I think I'll get it. Probably a couple of weeks out since it's out of town. Will post pics and I'm sure there will be questions when I start turning wrenches. I've been without boat, waverunner, or ATV for about a year and it's about time to get a toy! Troubadour, if I get ready to sell it I'll meet you in Denver if you want it.....LOL

Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
Thanks, but no. I have too many (according to my wife) right now. I don't think you'd have any problem finding a buyer for a decent running, clean G16 --- at a reasonable profit.

Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
There's something about a fuel pickup tube in the gas tank on a G16, that has problems with methanol. So don't overlook that.

Re: G-16 Opinions Pls
I'd buy it period for $600. That's a great deal.
