Default Danaher RXV Solenoid replacement?

I've seen mentioned in several threads on replacing the solenoid at the same time as a new OEM motor brake. Is that required or just good practice? I've got a neighbor that installed an aftermarket HD brake after I told him not to. Well it failed and now I'm going to install the OEM brake like he should have. Just checking on the solenoid.

It wouldn’t hurt to change it also. But that HD brake could’ve wiped out the controller

If its an older rxv with the small hardwired solenoid it should be replaced. If it has the larger separate solenoid I wouldn't replace it until you see if replacing the motor brake fixes the cart.

I completely agree. If you have this solenoid, get rid of it. Nothing but problems. I'm actually surprised when I see one of those still in service.
