Default switching from 6 volt to 8 volt

I have been running with 36 volts for a year now after installing a alltrax controller and solenoid that will work with a 48 volt pac and the batteries are ready to be replaced.

What else should I be concerned about ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming a Series drive system (SR controller) you will need a 470 ohm pre-charge resistor and a 48v charger with a plug to match your cart.

It's a 94 medalist cart . Can I switch the plug to fit any 48 volt charger?

Just get a charger with the correct plug for your cart. A 94' Medalist should have an Anderson SB50 connector, at least mine does.

The female end of the plug on the golf cart needs to be replaced . And I do not want to pay $300.00 for 17 amp charger with a SB50 end on it. That connection sucks in my opinion. Whats the best alternative?

A charger for a Club Car with an OBC will not work.

If you don't like the SB50, put whatever cart side plug you want on it and buy a charger to match.

So any charger other than one ment for OBC carts should work? And as long as the plug on the cart is the correct shape or at least bigger? Why so much for a 17 amp charger?
