Ezgo mpt 1000 code 3-5
Having a problem with electric 2004 ezgo mpt 1000. Code 3-5 on motor controller, field over current. Cart stops running intermittently . To restart ,turn ignition switch on and off one runs again . Reman SEPEX controller by FSIP. reman motor by EMP. Checked wiring and everything checked out ok. Any ideas, thanks in advance.

If you have a remanufactured stock controller feeding an non-stock (EMP built) motor, it is very likely the field map in the controller does not match the motor. Not sure if that mismatch would cause the error or not. Suggest contacting FSIP and/or EMP to find out if loaded field map and motor are comparable.
Worn insulation where F1/F2 cables go around the battery frame can cause this error. (See attachment) . |
