Default Club Car Precedent Motor Access Panel Removal

For some reason I am struggling removing the motor access panel under the bag well of my club car. Anyone have a trick on how to get those two plastic plugs out without breaking them. Thanks

They are 2 part fasteners (although connected). The center is a stud that we pressed in causes the outer portion to expand, thus holding the panel in place.
Take a small standard screwdriver and pry the center pin of the fastener out about 1/4 inch and you should be able to remove them. when replacing, insert the fastener through the holes and press the center pin in.

what year? Earlier models had a piece of crap fastener with a phillips head plastic screw in the center of it. Best thing to do is drill them out and install the new style ones.

2008. The one I have is smooth and flat, doesnt have the phillips head screw that I can see. Looks to be 2 pieces, but I tried pushing the inside pin out from behind and could not get it to budge. I will try prying it out and see if I get better results.

Don't pry the outer edge, just the center.
