Default Re: Club Car wont move, dead solenoid?

I reconnected the backup buzzer which i had disconnected years ago found that the buzzer buzzed in both the forward and reverse lever positions? That tells me that the forward and reverse switch is defective. this switch is original. The cart 17 years old. I have owned it for 16 years. I think that I will remove the switch and check it .thank you so much for your input.

You jumped the two large post and it moved? That doesn't mean the solenoid is bad just yet, check to see if you have power feeding the solenoid through the small posts. If you have power to solenoid then it is bad, if no power then you have other issues leading up to the solenoid.
Try a jumper to activate the solenoid through the small posts on the soleniod. Don't need to even get it to move, just get the solenoid to "click".

I'm having a similar problem.Sorry, not trying to hijack. When I jump the two big posts it works. When I jump from pack neg to small yellow wire(post) it works. These are the only times I hear a click. All limit switches check out. I have power from the white w/black tracer. I am thinking something on the neg side maybe?? Mine does the lurching thing too. Ideas?? 95 CC 48 volt. I also went with a meter from the small post with the white/black tracer and a small red to pack neg and had full voltage. From small post w/yellow to pack pos and there's nothing. Hope this helps magacrib too....

poppa, if your jumping from the solenoid small terminal with yellow wire to the neg post of #6 battery and cart runs that indicates a bad OBC......so you may have 2 problems, the OBC and the solenoid.........................................

OBC...............if it were controller it wouldn,t matter what you do it wouldn,t run and like i said that jumper from yellow wire to neg. bypasses obc and cart will run if OBC is bad........................................

OK. Next question,or two. How much are OBC"s?? And if it runs when bypassed...why not do that and not buy a computer??I suppose they are dealer items only??
