Reed Switch - Encapsulated or not
I have a bad Reed switch assembly and it is encapsulated. I see I can buy the encapusulated assembly for $65 and an un-encapsulated assembly for under $20. will either one work?

Re: Reed Switch - Encapsulated or not
Either one will work. So will bypassing the reed switch but remember to run the charger cord thru the steering wheel so you don't drive off with the charger plugged in.

Re: Reed Switch - Encapsulated or not
I bought a new one and it failed in less than two years, so I'd save your money and just bypass it.
