Question Whose rear end is this?

What type of differential is this on my 87 Marathon? I don't see a place anywhere to change the fluid, it looks like you have to split the darn thing to do it. Other EZGO differentials I've seen have a downward facing pan, no go on this one...

Does anyone have info on this odd pumpkin?

I know! It reminds me a lot of the transaxle on a Club Car, but there's no drain or fill hole that I can find, and by all appearances it is the stock rear end in the cart.

Bunch of comedians I tell ya...

That's why I titled it as such, I hoped to get traffic so someone could tell me they'd seen a differential like that before.

That looks like it, Rib. How does one drain and change the fluid on this thing? I've found no evidence of a drain plug anywhere...

Do you know what range of years those were used?

Part #14 looks like the filler plug. You can use a piece of plastic or rubber tubing and siphon or pump the old oil out, and fill from there.
